The starting point of the design and decoration for an international British/Swiss family moving abroad, was ‘made in England.’

Working with the client from London and the Swiss contractor in Zurich, my role was to develop the interior decoration and inject a sense of English style into the architectural detailing and decoration elements.

The client’s brief; to create a warm and welcoming family home with an emphasis on British made items with exceptional quality and style that will stand the test of time.

Opening into an inviting hallway with bespoke joinery and furniture and through to a large open plan living space. The furniture all made-to-measure, generously proportioned and tailored to suit the space, upholstered in sumptuous velvet and natural linen. A touch of bronze detailing throughout, creating a timeless classic look.

We designed large mirrors with antiqued glass, which we placed throughout the apartment, reflecting the light and space and in the breakfast nook, an antiqued, reeded mirror with hanging pendants.

The clients are thrilled with the discreet details, a little touch of their English heritage, a perfect combination of the traditional and contemporary to grow in their new-found Swiss homeland with elegance, style and grace.
